How to calculate the MTTF (Mean Time To Failure)?

MTTF is defined as follows:

For a specific condition, we associate the following values:

MTTF calculation:

r : Number of failures r = 0.
T: Total test time T= 60*1008=60480
We assume that one chip fails after 1008hrs, so the related MTTF value is a conservative estimate.
MTTF=60480/1=60,480hr
Please note that the MTTF value is higher than 60,480 hrs under test conditions: Room temperature, 50mA forward current, and chip placed in/near a TO-18 can without resin package.
