Department Title Functions
Chairman & Chief Strategy Officer • In charge of all business matters on behalf of the company.
• Provides the board of directors with the company's mid- and long-term development
  strategies.
President Office President • Formulates the company's overall operating objectives and responsible for matters related
  to the implementation of management objectives.
• Prepares and adjusts annual operating plans and formulates mid- and long-term operating
  and development plans.
• Analyzes the environment in which the company operates and develops corresponding
  strategies and gathers and provides business administration-related information.
• Prepares business analysis reports.
• Develops new products, formulates value policies, and determines selling prices.
• Drafts rules governing the management of businesses in which the company invests.
• Plans the construction of new factories and implements other matters related to planning
  and project research, and performs tasks as instructed by senior management.
• Reviews contracts and provides legal consultations, issues outgoing messages, affixes
  company stamps, handles lawsuits, deals with matters enforced by the courts,
  safeguards patents and trademarks, and collects receivables.
Management Division Vice President • Oversees the daily operations of all the units under the Management Division.
• Manages matters related to administrative support for the entire company.
• Handles affairs related to stocks, organizes board meetings and stockholders' meetings.
• Deals with other business administration-related matters and performs tasks as instructed
  by senior management.
Sales & Marketing Division Vice President • Oversees the daily operations of all the units under the Sales & Marketing Division
  (including the various ISO management systems.)
• Handles matters related to sales and customer service for semiconductor components,
  syste products, and other products.
• Handles other matters related to the production and sale of semiconductor components
  and systems products, and performs tasks as instructed by senior management.
Material Management Division Vice President • Oversees the daily operations of all the units under the Materials Management Division.
• Handles matters related to the import and export of machines and equipment, logistics, and
  inventory control of raw materials and supplies.
• Performs other tasks as instructed by senior management.
Facility & Equipment Division Director • Oversees the daily operations of all the units under the Facility & Equipment Division.
• Handles matters related to the repair, maintenance, and management of machines and
  equipment.
• Performs other tasks as instructed by senior management.
Optoelectronics Division Vice President • Oversees the daily operations of all the units under the Optoelectronics Division.
• Handles matters related to the R&D, production, and quality control of compound
  semiconductor epitaxy for optoelectronics products, components, and other related
  products.
• Handles other matters related to compound semiconductor components for optoelectronics
  products as instructed by senior management.
Silicon Division Director • Oversees the daily operations of all the units under the Silicon Division.
• Handles matters related to the R&D, production, quality, and customer service for silicon
  components and other products.
• Handles other matters related to silicon products as instructed by senior management.
Systems Division Director • Formulates the company's vision, mission, strategy, policy, and overall objectives;
  implements plans; establishes relevant critical performance indicators and departmental
  objectives; reviews performance; prepares budgets.
• Monitors and measures process performance, controls defective products, analyzes data,
  and makes continuous improvements, takes corrective actions, and implements preventive
  measures.
• Responsible for receiving evaluations of LED applications or trends from markets,
  customers, and sales units; puts forth plans to innovate upon or improve products.
• Assists subordinate units in making technical breakthroughs or addressing technical
   issues.
• Performs other tasks as instructed by senior management.
Research Center Vice President • Oversees and inspects the daily operations of all the units under the Research Center.
• Evaluates the feasibility of developing new products.
• Establishes the objectives, specifications, time frames, budgets, etc. for the research and
  development of new products.
• Handles other matters related to the R&D of new products as instructed by senior
  management.
Safety & Health Office Deputy Manager • Drafts occupational disaster prevention and management plans and environmental
  protection implementation plans and budgets.
• Handles matters related to the safety and hygiene of employees of various departments
  and oversees their implementation.
• Instructs relevant personnel in conducting routine, periodic, and key inspections and in
  determining the status of the work environment, and oversees the work of such
  personnel.
• Plans and implements employee training programs for workplace safety and hygiene.
• Oversees the investigation and handling of occupational disasters, compiles statistics on
  occupational disasters.
• Plans and oversees matters related to environmental management.
• Provides information and recommendations on the management of labor safety, hygiene,
  and environmental protection.
• Handles other labor safety, hygiene, and environmental protection related matters and
  other matters as instructed by senior management.
• Arranges employee health exams and handles employee health management and health
  promotion related matters.
Auditing Office Deputy Manager • Inspects the implementation of annual operating plans and budgets.
• Examines affairs related to sales, purchases, production, financing, fixed assets,
  investments computers, and research and development.
• Recommends improvements in internal control.
• Handles other matters related to internal auditing processes and performs tasks as
  instructed senior management.
